Rod & Patrice Hunt Family

August 10, 2009

We had a fun weekend with Anna & Bridger here while Denz was at drill. We had a GREAT ride in Pine Valley--they did a good job staying on their horses even in the treacherous parts -- and also had fun going to the Dinosaur Museum and out to Virgin to see all of "our horses" that have new babies!

The ability to qualify for, receive, and act on personal revelation is the single most important skill that can be acquired in this life.

We are members of Christ's Restored Church

As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we recognize and honor Jesus Christ as the Son of God, the Redeemer of the World, and as our Savior. It is only through Him, and because of Him, that we have a sure knowledge and foundation in our purpose here in mortality, understand why very difficult things happen to good people, and we trust in our Savior and our Heavenly Father. We hope that anyone who has questions, or is seeking spiritual guidance, will seriously look into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at: MORMONS

QUOTES

*"And now my sons (and daughters), remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our redeemer, who is Jesus Christ, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation; a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall."
--Helaman 5:12

Holding onto anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone...YOU are the one who gets burned!

People who fixate on destroying their enemies need TWO graves. . .one for their enemy and one for themselves!

All the water in the world, however hard it tried,
Could never sink the smallest ship, unless it got inside.
And all the evil in the world, the blackest kind of sin,
Can never hurt you the least bit, unless you let it in.

Nice things to remember...

Dad sure did good for Valentine's Day! I came home from working with all the volunteers in the community garden, and there was a dozen BEAUTIFUL red roses, delivered by Cameo Florists!! Then, this morning, there was a darling handmade card AND a box of SEE'S candy! (Yes, I ate an orange in a hurry before I opened the box of candy!!)
